Innovative, affordable, quality housing
Stellar Living Ltd is a social investor focused on providing affordable, quality, housing especially to people who cannot readily access the private market. We see secure housing as a primary need, essential to quality of life and to full economic and social participation in society.
Our outlook is innovative and expansionist
We aim to increase our housing stock through joint ventures including partnerships with other businesses, through borrowing and by generating profits through activities in the open market.
In the longer term Stellar aims to service the full spectrum of housing needs, including being a developer, seller and housing finance provider.
Not-for-Profit Company
Stellar Living Ltd is a not-for-profit Australian Public Company. It has deductible gift recipient status with the Australian Taxation Office.
Board
Stellar Living Ltd is governed by a highly skilled Board.
The sole shareholder is Centrecare Incorporated, a not-for-profit association operating in Western Australia since 1946 and now with more than 10 locations providing specialist social services including counselling, support, family dispute resolution and training services. Centrecare is a Church-inspired, values-based organisation that places a high value on professional, innovative service delivery that is respectful of clients and their individual needs and viewpoints.
Centrecare was a successful community housing provider before launching Stellar Living: Centrecare won the Excellence in Organisational Management Award at the WA Community Housing Awards for Excellence in 2007. People with community housing experience at Centrecare transferred to Stellar Living.
